Q...What is the average age of students in Bournemouth?
A...On the whole, the average age is in the early 20's. However, there
are many students much older than that, even in their 50's and 60's, and
also children and teenagers.
Do not be concerned about this There are students from all over the world,
different races, cultures, religions, skin colours, ages and backgrounds.
Everybody gets on very well with each other.
Q....Can I get a job in Bournemouth?
A...Yes, it is possible. However, there are some restrictions. The current
regulations are:
If you come to Britain as a student and you are attending a recognised school for at least 15 hours a week, then you may work for a maximum of 20 hours.
If you come to Britain as a tourist you may not work.

A....There are a variety of jobs that students do. There are a lot of hotels
in Bournemouth and many students work in them, in the bars, restaurants
and cleaning. A good opportunity to practice your English and earn some
money. Also. pubs, discos and restaurants employ students. There are also
factory jobs and cleaning jobs available. Remember, these are part-time
jobs.
